Get the Dream Speed by Using Turbo LS3

If you wish an insane horsepower of 500 to 800 then to keep the engine together use the Turbo LS3 super charger. It is the latest addition to the LSX family. LS2 was giving 400 horse powers, but now this gives more than that. It is a small block engine which has two types of design. The original V8 is the 90-degree cylinder and a 4400-inch bore center. The main aim was to strengthen the block and reduce the rotating mass. There was a lot of casting and machining updates to reach the results. The bulk heads were stronger by 20% inside. There is an increase in the bore size which gives more flexibility. Now an affordable engine with more horse power can be fixed without many expenses.

Tune for Better Speed

Turbo LS3 can be used for smaller engines with cathedral port heads also. There is a slight difference when the engine is idle, but there is a bigger jump when the speed is considered. Turbocharger and super charger kits are the main ways to achieve the horse power gains with the LS type of engines. There is a lot of focus on strength and longevity. It is robust enough to take up more than its predecessors. It can handle a lot of power with a little bit of tuning.

Change Bolts for Robust Clamping

For horse power seeking enthusiasts to get the power adder, another 5-10 pounds has to be added through the super charger. Turbo LS3 is the best solution for attaining the 500 horsepower; there is no doubt in this. To get 650 horsepower, there is no necessity of stretching the limit of the block or the components. They can handle anything to a larger extent. It is always better to upgrade the cylinder rear bolts, head studs and main stud bolts with more clamping so that it does not move around when the rear wheel exceeds 600 horsepower.

Bolting the turbo system is not much difficult. The oil has to come to the turbo through an oil filter. An air cooler is also provided which is just a dedicated fan, for test purposes.  There is a requirement of about 11-15 pounds of boost for getting 800 horsepower. It may cause a little stress for the internal components. Rotating parts and cylinder head has to be changed here. Turbo LS3 with a camshaft would be a very pair for a boosted engine.  If required it is better to upgrade the set of valve springs to avoid the valve float in high speed.

Exhaust valves have to be provided to cool down the whole system. The manufacturers give a steel head gasket for Turbo LS3 to tolerate the 800 horsepower. This upgrading gives proper strength and longevity. Goat performance is situated in Brisbane Queensland.
